The Counselling and Child Protection Department offers the following services.

LifeLine/ChildLine Namibia currently runs the only national 24/7 helpline-based counselling service in Namibia. In addition to the Helplines that are aimed at ensuring children have a safe reporting platform, the Counselling Centre also does face-to-face counselling, Community, and school outreach programmes. The 116 Child Helpline provides a toll-free service focusing mainly on assisting children with difficulties dealing with emotional distress, abuse of all types, school-related (educational) problems, behavioural problems as well as family problems. While the 106 Gender-Based Violence Helpline aims to assist those who need help when found in a GBV-related situation.

LifeLine/ChildLine Namibia is committed to providing all children in Namibia with care and protection from all forms of violence, abuse, neglect, and exploitation, as set out in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. The Child Protection Department is dedicated to protecting vulnerable children and young people by strengthening child protection systems and promoting positive social norms in all contexts to prevent and respond to child abuse. It focuses on the Protection and Prevention Of Violence Against Children And Child Neglect; Improved Child Safety And Advocacy Participation for Child Rights and Education. The Childcare and Protection Act provides for a wide range of protective services, which are state interventions for children who are not receiving sufficient care or protection.

Lifeline/ChildLine is a leading provider of Employee Assistance Programs to Corporate entities, Academic Institutions, and Government Agencies and their employees across all 14 regions of Namibia. We pride ourselves in the provision of support programs for employees. Although the program is aimed mainly at work-related difficulties, our carefully selected, professional, and skilled staff can also help your employees with problems that originate outside the workplace when such troubles impact work attendance or on-the-job performance. The Lifeline/ChildLine EAP service offerings deal with a variety of issues such as marital problems, depression, anger management, anxiety, and physical illness. On request, the Lifeline/ChildLine Employee Assistance Program can provide counselling support to the spouses/children of employees. Amongst our clientele portfolio were Dundee Precious Metals, Avani, and Gondwana Collections to name a few.
